The Agbami Scholarship, established by Chevron Nigeria Limited, operator of the Agbami Field, and its co-venturers, is a merit-based scheme designed to provide financial assistance to outstanding Nigerian undergraduates in various disciplines. Named after the prolific Agbami Field, one of the largest deepwater discoveries globally, this scholarship program reflects Chevron’s commitment to fostering human capital development and promoting academic excellence in Nigeria.

Recipients of this scholarship enjoy a range of benefits, including full tuition fees, accommodation, and a stipend for books and living expenses. The scholarship is worth ₦200,000 for medical students and ₦100,000 for engineering students.

Eligibility for the Agbami Scholarship Awards 2024/2025

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be:

  • Full-time 100 and 200 level undergraduate students in Nigeria
  • Must be studying any of the following courses; Medicine and surgery, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering or Medical Laboratory.
  • Have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5-point scale.
  • Achieve a minimum of six O-level credits in a single sitting.

Required Documents for Agbami Scholarship Application

  • Passport photograph with a white background not older than three months.
  • Student identification card
  • Admission letter
  • O-level result
  • Certificate of birth
  • JAMB result

How to Apply for Agbami Scholarship Awards 2024/2025

  • Go to http://scholastica.ng/schemes/agbami and select “Apply Now” from the drop-down menu.
  • Create an account by tapping on “Register Now.”
  • To activate your account, go to your email box.
  • To return to the Scholarship site, go to www.Scholastica.ng/Schemes/Agbami.
  • Upload your information by entering your registered email address and password.
  • Enter your personal information, NIN (if applicable), educational information, and other information, as well as upload any required scanned documents.
  • Make sure the names on all documentation are in the same order as the names on the applications. Include a sworn affidavit or certificate where needed.
  • Review all documents after they’ve been uploaded.

  • All previous beneficiary of the scholarship are not allowed to apply.
  • Double entry or application would lead to automatic disqualification.
  • Ensure all documents are scanned and are properly labeled (e.g. O-level certificate can be labeled as “_O-level”).
  • Selected students will receive an SMS or email with details of the examination date and schedule.
